Creek Crawl The Creek Crawl at Foley, AL Graham Creek Nature Preserve will take racers through a competitive 5 miles of dirt, mud, and water with 25 surprise obstacles along the way. Mark your calendars for SATURDAY, OCTOBER 5! This year there will be a competitive 5 mile race as well as a 5K Fun Run. The competitive heats will begin at 8:00 am for Individuals and 8:45 am for Teams. The 5K Fun Run will begin at 10:00 am.

5 mile race for participants 14 and over. 5K race for participants 10 and over.

Awards ceremony will begin at 10:30 am with awards for 5 mile races. All finishers of the 5 mile race will receive medals. Awards for 1st and 2nd place males and females in each age category (29 & under, 30-49, 50 & over.), 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place Teams, and overall Male and Female times.

Post race party on Graham Creek with southern food, beer and music!

Course Description:

4 miles of rugged trails that cover sandy areas, wetlands, forests, fields and several creek crossings. There will be at least 12 obstacles that include walls to climb, hurdles, tires, pipes to crawl through, mud pits, and one creek to swim across (~30 yards). Racers may opt to avoid the swim and run an additional 0.5 mile to go around. Difficulty is medium.

Aid Stations:

First aid kits and water available at 2 stations at 1.5 miles and 3 miles. Water and food available at finish line. Emergency services will be on standby mid way through course.

Awards:

Awards will be given for top three male and female runners.

Spectators:

Spectators are free and may roam (at their own discretion) the course.

Parking:

Free parking in field

Post Party:

Post party will have a DJ, food, and beer (for 21 and older with ID). Vendors to be determined.

Other:

All proceeds go to Foley's Graham Creek Nature Preserve for use in educational programs. Minimum race age is 10. Chip timing will be included. No gear check available. There are two outdoor shower heads, water hoses and a bathroom building available for use.
