Course Description:
The Battle Run is a 5 mile obstacle/mud challenge designed to test you
both mentally and physically. You will experience only a small portion
of the daily life of the men and women serving in our nation's armed
forces. Broken into 5 one mile legs, The Battle Run will push you to
your limits and beyond as you journey from a new recruit to a hardened
soldier. Leave your fears and insecurities at the gate, they have no
place on The Battlefield.
All soldiers must attempt all obstacles on the
designed course. Failure to attempt an obstacle will result in a Drill
Sergeant penalizing you with 25 burpees, pushups, situps, etc.
Each penalty will result in a stamp. Once you reach 5 stamps your Bib Number, First Name, and City you live in will be posted on our website as "Dishonorably Discharged". You will however, still be allowed to finish the course
You must listen to your Drill Sergeant. They may issue penalties whenever they see fit.
No one gets left behind. Not everyone will be
capable of handling warfare like you. If you see a fallen soldier, help
them up. If someone needs help with an obstacle lend them you help.
There WILL come a time when you need help as well.
Awards:
Yes we will give out awards at the end of the day to the top finishers in several categories.
Spectators:
Free! Spectators can also attend the after party, check out our AWESOME sponsors and vendor area, and party with you after you finish.
Parking:
Yes, parking costs $5 per vehicle. Please bring cash.
Post Party:
You can just about bet that after the race you aren't going to want to do anything that requires standing for at least a little while. After you catch your breath and get your wits about you, you can head over to the concert and vendor area. We are going to have kick ass bands playing all day, food, drinks, cool vendors to check out and some side competitions for you guys with an ego complex. Plan on making a day of it. Hell, plan on making a day and night of it!
Other:
No dogs. This is to prevent any mishaps with bites or
slipping in poo. No pets allowed accept for seeing eye dogs or other
service animals. This is solely up to the discression of the event
staff.
A portion of all the proceeds of The Battle Run will be going to designated charity. Information on which charity and how you can give above and beyond will be on the registration page.
When you check in and receive your race bag with your bib, you will receive a timing chip to be attached to your bib. We will be using state of the art timing service for the race.
Team:
We offer a 10% discount to those who register as a team. Select the team you belong to, or create a new team and then use coupon code TEAM to claim the discount. You must show confirmation of joining the team on the day of the event. If you cannot provide confirmation, you must pay a $15 fee to be able to participate.
