Race Start Time:

First waves released at 8am. Last heats scheduled for approx 11:55am. 10-15 racers per heat, released every 5 minutes. EPIC Course has Competitive Waves and Open Waves available.

EPIC RACE Challenge: The EPIC Race course is 12+ functional fitness challenges laid out on a course like nothing you’ve experienced. Designed using the principles of cross-training, bootcamp, strongman, and endurance competitions, this course will break you down and build you back up! Whether you're competing against others or trying to achieve your personal best, make no mistake, this is a race.

Course Description:

Course will be in the Huntington Beach Sports Complex parking lot on asphalt. No mud.
EPIC Course: 25-30 obstacles in approx 1.5 miles. Climbing walls, heavy carries, strength-based challenges, archery, some running, and other fitness challenges involved.
ELITE Course: 10 heavy strength-based challenges, starting with a Truck Pull and incorporating barbells, Atlas Stones, kettlebells, sandbags, and more.
KIDS Course: 10-15 kid-sized fitness and obstacle challenges, ending in a giant inflatable obstacle course.

Aid Stations:

EMTs will be on standby. Water stations on course and at finish line.

Awards:

Awards Ceremony conducted after last ELITE Course Athlete has finished and times are calculated.

EPIC Course - Top 3 Male/Female Masters Ages 40+
ELITE Course - Top 3 Male/Female Strength Division winners
ELITE Course - Top 3 Male/Female Endurance Division winners

All winners receive a trophy and swag bag of sponsored product. ELITE Course 1st place winners receive an EPIC championship belt and swag bags.

Parking:

Parking is $1, paid at the parking machines onsite.

Special Olympics Southern California (SOSC) is the official beneficiary for this race. 18% of race proceeds benefit SOSC, and individual flat rate donation options are available during registration.
No refunds available for this race. Registration transfers to another person or a future race are permitted any time before the race date.
