Course Description:
The 10k Bull Run will offer nine engineered obstacles to ensure you dig deep and force every nerve and sinew to execute them successfully and timely, plus many more natural ‘Bull’ obstacles and challenges along the route. You will feel like the intimidating ‘Bull’ obstacles are on your every horizon and as you approach each one your heart will thump loudly with adrenalin fuelled anticipation as they continue, one after another, diverse and relentless. You will be running through waterways and under a dark bridge and across exhausting terrain. Designed to ensure every muscle in your body is on trial and every nerve is sharpened, the course will be embedded in your mind forever when you cross that finish line knowing you can tell the story to your children and grandchildren of the day you became a Muddy Matador and completed THE MUDDY BULL RUN!
The 5k Bull Run will take elements of its big brother to offer a less physically demanding experience. Specifically aimed at those who want to use 2018 as a warm up year, or for the less experienced runner who wants to get a feel of a demanding obstacle course, such as The Muddy Bull. This course will by no means be a walk in the park, it will still ask your body to push itself to its limits and question every bodily muscle as ‘Bull’ challenges regularly appear as you run across the uneven and often unforgiving farmland.
Aid Stations:
There will be several water/welfare stations along the route. Keeping hydrated is essential. There will be a professional onsite medical team at the event, you can gain assistance from a marshal along the route who will radio medical assistance for you or call into one of the medical points around the course, these will be clearly signed and positioned near the major obstacles.
Spectators:
Everyone is welcome! There will be plenty of entertainment in the race village where the start and finish is. There will also be viewing points at some of the major obstacles along the route, please make sure you stay within the designated spectator areas.
Parking:
There's plenty of parking. Please adhere to the marshals’ directions. There will be a small charge which will go to charity.
Post Party:
There will be several hot food and drink outlets in the race village and also a fully licensed bar for a well-deserved drink. There will also be live entertainment in the race village with fun for the family.
Other:
There will be basic cold-water showers to rinse the worst of the mud off you.
There will toilets positioned along the course near the major obstacles and in the main race village.
There will be a bag drop and storage tent, we DON’T recommend taking personnel expensive belongings around the course, including phones and car keys.
