Course Description:
There is no off-season for those that constantly seek adventure! War-X OCR starts 2018 off with a bang with its first annual Arctic Fever 5/10K. It’s an action packed 25+ obstacle course race in the middle of winter that will allow you a way to get outside and away from home or the gym. Attack the course individually or as a team! The course is built across over 1000 acres of privately owned, undeveloped land, giving us the ability to operate all year round. There are no limits to the size and scope of the obstacles we build because we don’t have to move them!
The War-X property has over 25 miles of trails, sheer rock cliffs, acres of swamps, mud, winding creeks, dense forests, and unlimited elevation gains to play with in southeastern Ohio! Whether you find yourself on a trail or clawing your way up a steep gorge, you will be challenged by our demented creativity and nature itself.
Aid Stations:
Aid stations will provide water along the route at designated locations. EMS will be on standby. Drinks and food at the finish line
Awards:
Top finishers receive War-X Medal, and free pass to try the Labyrinth.
Prizes:
Prizes for top 3 Labyrinth times.
Spectators:
Spectators are free. Spectator movements on property are restricted for safety purposes. Spectators can become part of the War-X scene. Contact us for more information.
Parking:
Limited parking is available and carpooling is suggested.
Post Party:
Our post party is different than others. We have a few fires, listen to the stories and good music. After going thru a War-X race you will need to process and consider what just happened.
Other:
War-X doesn't just put obstacles up. We build an entire atmosphere for you to experience. Run your race, crush the obstacles, get your awards, but don't think for a second that is where it ends. You will be tackling our course in a virtual war zone. Sights, sounds, and the unexpected will have your adrenaline pumping right along with your heart rate.
Team:
Sign up as a team or individual. You can join or stay with a team at the race.
