Course Description:
The Course will provide a great test for people of all abilities and will take between an hour and an hour and a half to complete. Don’t fancy battling alone, why not bring the clan, discounts available for team entries.
With climbs, swings, jumps, dives, crawls and more than a few splashes The Muck Of Kells is a truly unique event. Set in 50 acres of rural woodlands on the edge of the ancient town of Kells, Co. Meath, the scenery in as breath taking as the effort required to get through it!
The race is themed on the rich and ancient history of the area with a dark Celtic twist. This race is as mentally demanding as it is physically!Charge through centuries old woodland, where you will be tested at every twist and turn. Traverse obstacles over icy cold ponds and streams, face dizzying heights and hideous lows!
Aid Stations:
Full advanced paramedic crews on site: 1 APs, 2 Paramedics and 5 EMTS. Multiple aid stations and marshals on course. Hot soup and sandwich at finish. Hot showers.
Prizes:
Medals for elites: 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for elite women and men
Spectators:
Spectators are FREE!!!! Of course they are we want to promote the sport!!!!
Parking:
FREE parking!
Post Party:
Hospitality tent on site, one or two beers to be had.
