Course Description:
Get ready for a challenging but fun 5K run with hills, 15-20 muddy pits, walls, 60 foot mudslide, tunnel crawls, slippery hill climbs, and oodles of mud pits. The course is packed with over 10 obstacles plus our mud pit section with over 10 mud pits and hills!
Some of the obstacles to expect include the barrel slalom, trutch’s hole, the bog, A-frame, bumpy poles among others.
ring out your inner adventurer as you conquer the 2021 course. The Grand Rapids Mud Run has something for everyone; all heats are timed so be as competitive as you can or even bring your team & earn the bragging rights. The little ones get a free entry to the kid’s mini mud run and you get to cheer them as they conquer the mud.

Parking:
Parking is $3. This year to reduce contact for runners and volunteers, the parking fee is discounted and included in the ticket purchase.
Parking is available in the Kentwood Community Church lot. You can access the parking through Kalamazoo Ave. (North of M-6) and Eastport Drive.
Other:
The Grand Rapids Mud Run was born as a fundraising effort to benefic Never the Same, a national youth ministry organization. Never the Same is a peer-to-peer youth ministry that focuses on promoting leadership in young people around the country through camps and school campuses.
After conquering the course runners can donate their shoes at the shower station by tying the pair together and putting them in the donate bin.
Team:
Teams consist of 4 members (no more, no less). Each team member signs up individually under the ‘team type’ you choose (male, female or co-ed) and enters their team name when prompted.
Team time is determined by last team member crossing the finishing line.
Individual runner group of 10 or more can email race organizer for group rates.
Kids Race:
All online 5k tickets receive the option to add 1 free entry to the Kid's Mini Mud Run.
Course for ages 6-11, approximately 1.5 miles and includes the muddiest obstacles and most exciting parts of the course that will thrill your Mini Mudder, including our best mud pits, gooiest swamps, and plenty of challenging obstacles.
