Course Description:

This course is NOT your regular jog in the park. Beware that it will test the limits of your physical abilities and your sanity. You will get dirty, muddy, wet, and that’s the point!
Participants run, walk, skip, trot, and cavort through our 5K course, which winds through the scenic trails of the local Cary Camp, Boy Scouts of America. Participants must overcome an “obstacle” or two along the way and finish with the cheering crowd, bands, and finishers medal.
The point is not to finish fast but to finish with style!

Obstacles include
1.Leaps of Faith - Jump, Pull, and Climb over large round bales of hay!
2.The Spider Bite - A cargo net strung between two large trees to test your agility and inner strength
3.Carry Your Burden - Singles or teams of runners must pick up a large log and walk it around a loop
4.Valley of Hurt - A series of heart attack inducing hills climbs throughout the course, true test of endurance where you’ll need to dig deep
5.Not Too Proud to Crawl - A 10-foot crawl through an old cement slab, it will be wet, muddy, and slippery
6.Muddy Mambo - 8 x 3 x 2 muddy pits dug into the trail where runners MUST run, crawl, and cavort through between muddy pits, runners finish with a climb over heaping mounds of mud
7.Over and Under and Through the Woods - Runners catapult over and/or under (or whatever it takes) to maneuver through fallen timbers laid over the trail, it’s going to be an outdoor undertaking
8.Too Tall Tepee - Runners crawl underneath a narrow gap at the bottom of Cary Camp's iconic giant Tepee, it’s going to get tight and dirty
9.Bombs Away - With a bridge above a low valley where runners will be trotting through for about a 1/4 mile, spectators above the bridge will be blessed with buckets of water to attempt and dump water on the runners as they run under the bridge
10.Pitfall Scary - The Grand Finale is a huge mud pit befor you cross the finish line exhausted!
