Course Description:
Experience the toughest obstacle course race above arctic circle, 13 kilometers of obstacles, immersing snow and freezing water. Race from summit to summit on the arctic fells of national park. Put your mental and physical strength to a real test. And enjoy the most amazing scenery and the freshest air in Europe!
The route begins behind the Kellokas Visitor Center in deep snow and heads towards the top of mountain Kellostapuli. At Kesänkijärvi, the racer get the first contact with icy water before going up on the Devils path to the top of mountain Kesäkitunturi. There are also various climbing and creeping obstacles along the route. It will be challenging also for the experienced athletes.
Winter Warrior Challenge course is shorter skipping the weary conquering of the fell Kesänki. The course length is about 10 km.
Aid Stations:
There is an aid station at the start and finish area and at a service point along the course. Staff along the route will alert help when needed.
Awards:
After the Race, there will be a prize ceremony in the evening.
Spectators:
Winter Warrior Finland wil bee a lot of fun for the audience. The route has been planned thinking of spectators as well. See how the race starts in deep snow behind the Visitor Center and enjoy a nice walk to the Kesänki lake. There will be freezing water obstacles for the racers to fear and viewers to cheer. Local school parents association will be there selling refreshments. Rush back to the race center to see the battle for victory or stay by the lake and follow the race there.

Other:
The warrior squad is meant for serious races who are used to challenging themselves to the extreme. In the Warrior squad all obstacles must be completed successfully or you will be downgraded to race squad. We recommend participating in the Warrior squad only for those who intend to run fast. Warrior squad will get in front in possible queues.
The race squad also offers a tough competition but there you can also participate the race with a lighter attitude if you want. However, the course is challenging for everyone. The fastest racers of the race squad are also awarded.
Team:
Team competition is for teams of minimum of three (3) participants. Each teams races together as a team and will get one time at the finish line. In the team competition the team is the most important thing, and team members are never left behind. The best team will be awarded, not necessarily the fastest.
