Course Description:

Queen of the Hill: Once upon a time in a land not so far away, stood a steep, muddy, and slippery hill waiting to be claimed. Be the first one to the top to earn your crown and enjoy the view of your kingdom. Beware; this obstacle is crueler than it looks!
Wicked Step Mother’s Steps: Prove your confidence and bravery by escaping your wicked step mother. Do this by climbing up 10 rungs and flying down a big blow up slide into the arms of your fairy godmother.
Don’t Fall in Love (with the Big Bad Wolf): A poor little pig’s log cabin has blown over, and his logs are spread all over our field. Be careful not to trip as the big bad wolf may be coming for you. Run through this obstacle and escape his ferocious paws.
Disenchanted Forest: Within this dark and gloomy forest, your elementary school skills will be tested, as you will have to swing across monkey bars to keep off its muddy ground. Also, be sure to dodge the forest’s silly monkeys!
Rapunzel’s Revenge: Scale an 8-foot wall with the help of long braided ropes. Climbing other participants’ hair is not recommended, but giving them a boost up sure is!
What a Tangled Web We Weave: Don’t get caught up in a tangled web of lies! Keep a good pace and use teamwork as you weave your way through this obstacle’s spider web of string.
Princess Fiona’s Fallopian Tubes: Get through Shrek’s swamp by crawling through huge, muddy drainage pipes. You’re on your own with this one as your fearless steed is preoccupied with a dragon.
Muddy Moat Mayhem: Mayhem can make you mad! Take control and find your way through this mud pit full of obstacles. The various logs and the occasional alligator may make this obstacle more difficult than it seems.
Noodleham Forest: You don’t need Robin Hood to get through this forest. High step through tires and push through its pool noodles. Also, be sure to listen up because the noodles have bells on them to break the silence of domestic abuse.
Bippity Boppity Beam: While there is no magic spell to get over the muddy spots of life, you can find your inner balance and use the logs to cross this obstacle.
Cinderella’s Muddy Slippers: Going through this obstacle is quite the chore. Step in and out of giant oil barrels to make it to the ball on time.
No Guts No Glory: Get ready for the ride of your life. This is no magic carpet, but you will be sure to have fun. Race down the waterslide and land comfortably in a gooey pit of what used to be Cinderella’s magical pumpkin carriage.
Little Mermud: This obstacle’s big cargo net might force you to go “under the sea” to tackle this mud pit!
Cinderella’s Carriage Crawl: Make your way through our carriage to have it take you to a wonderful, violence-free life. This carriage may not take you to the ball, but it will take you to the finish line.
Princess Slime’s Sewer Crawl: Before you claim your crown, you’ll have to crawl through some slimy, buggy sewage tubes. Caution: You may lose your glass slipper on this one!
Elsa's Frozen Forest for Fearless Princesses: Take an epic journey through a forest trapped in an eternal winter while being serenaded by the Ice Queen herself! By learning you're never alone and love is built upon sacrifice and caring, the kingdom will be thawed! (However, you won't be able to avoid the giant, icy puddle left behind.)
Prince Percy’s Playful Pit: To conquer Prince Percy’s castle, you’ll have to doggy paddle your way through his playful pit and roll over in the mud. It will be impawsible to stay clean on this one!
Obstacle descriptions are from the 2014 event and are subject to change.

Other:

The Warrior Princess Mud Run is 100% supportive of Harbor House. This is our agency’s own fundraising event planned and executed solely by Harbor House staff and volunteers. Registration proceeds will go toward Harbor House’s programming; $1 from every registration will go to Mosquito Hill to cover wear-and-tear at the park. Friends of Mosquito Hill will run concessions and keep 100% of the proceeds from that for future enhancements to the Nature Center. By supporting Harbor House and Mosquito Hill, two 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations, your registration fee is tax deductible.
The minimum age to participate is 13 years old. Anyone under the age of 18 will need to have a parent or guardian accompany them to packet pick-up the day of the event. The parent or guardian must sign the waiver online during the registration process for any minor.
Showers are available at the end of the race to rinse off before heading into the changing tents. As crazy as it sounds, we do need to remind people to keep at least a bra and underwear on while cleaning off - the showers are not enclosed (gentlemen, you can take your bras off but please keep your underwear on). When you head into the privacy of the changing tents, do what you have to do!

Team:

During registration you can designate a team name and participants of the team can sign up in a common wave.
This is all on your own and there are no guarantees all team members will make it into the same wave if the wave reaches the maximum number of participants before all team members have registered.
No worries though, signing up in the next wave will still allow you to be by your friends.
