Course Description:
5K is quite hilly and trail rocky and steep in places. Several obstacles to cross and some mud. 3K not quite as hilly, trail still rocky and steep in places. Obstacles might include wooden walls, bridges, carrying concrete blocks.
Aid Stations:
Paramedics will be on hand. At least two water and fruit stops.
Awards:
Plaques will be awarded in several categories to be determined.
Spectators:
Spectators are free. They cannot roam the course but can take guided zip line rides after the race for fee to be determined.
Parking:
Free parking right at the course.
Post Party:
Post-race party will include music, food and drink. Price to be determined.
Other:
Minimum age is 10. Family groups encouraged.
Setting adjacent to lovely Shenandoah National Park and minutes from downtown Luray. Proceeds benefit Luray-Page Chamber of Commerce and Luray Downtown Initiative.
Sponsors include Bear Mountain Ziplines and Luray Rope Adventure Park. Yogi Bear campground right next door to race course.
