Slippery Saints Mud Run Run a 5k. In the mud. With obstacles. Just like Mom told you not to do. The Slippery Saints Mud Run is where the action and adventure is! With a twist of heavenly good and devilish fun, you have our permission to participate in “Altar Boy’s Revenge”, “The Inquisition”, “The Baptism”, “Dante’s Hell” obstacles and more. You can ask for forgiveness later. At the beer tent.

It all happens on Saturday, August 30, 2014. Our mud run is located at the North Iowa Events Center in Mason City, Iowa. So wear your favorite costume if you want, whether it is the devil’s horns or an angelic halo, but be prepared to have fun! Live band and a DJ service will be playing music throughout the day.

Flat course with 25 obstacles, many in mud:
Hade's Crossing: Pole walk
St. Hubert's Cathedral: Hay bales
Highway to Heaven: Climbing wall
The Baptism: Dumpster filled with water
Slippery Saint: Water slide
Angel Food: Foam barn
Savior Swing: Rope swing
Wicked Monkey: Bars, 'nuff said
Worse than Locusts: Culvert crawl
Mount Sinai: The hill
Dante's Hell: Tire run like the football player you never were
Lucifer's Toothpicks: Telephone pole jump
Devil's Dance: Elevated balance beam
Jonah's Whale: Run through tractor tires
Penance: 20 push-ups
Devil's Delight: Mud crawl
A-Mazing!: String maze
The Inquisition: Tire pile
Ropewalk: Rope wall
Exodus: Lower crawl under netting
Path through Purgatory: Motor cross course
Altar Boy's Revenge: Mud Crawl (another one!)
Fire and Brimstone: Fire jump
Noah's Nightmare: Dumpster filled with water (another one!)
Wet Dirt: The 3rd and final mud pit
Entrance to German Heaven: Beer garden time! Live bands, too!

Aid Stations:

We have paramedics at the course or on standby.
Water station at the midpoint.

Prizes:

Trophy prize for best costume.

Spectators:

Spectators are free.

Parking:

Ample free parking.

Post Party:

Beer tent after the race with DJ music.
Concession stand throughout the day.

Other:

All monies raised go to local community charities or service groups.
T-shirts are available for purchase on-line during your registration for $10/each.

Team:

Teams encouraged! Teams of 4 or more receive a discount of $5 per person.
Each team member registers individually on ZapEvent.
