Course Description:
The Mud Run charity fundraiser at Bethesda Children’s Home is a great use of the 370 acres on our main campus in Meadville, a good portion of which is wooded. We have the perfect location and terrain for this event! The event is a 5K, 3.1 mile race, through primarily a wooded course while maneuvering obstacles including tunnels, hay-bales a climbing wall, ropes, tires and a few fun surprises. In addition to the obstacles, the terrain itself is pretty rugged. Bethesda’s 3.1 mile course winds through woods, fields, gullies, streams, rocks, fallen trees – and lots of mud and water. There’s also a killer hill that even tests the endurance of the Honda dirt bikes we have on campus. The run is challenging, but not dangerous. You must be able to run, crawl and climb to get through the course. It will be a test to see what YOU are made of…also, it will be a chance to play really hard!
Aid Stations:
Aid station available plus paramedics on standby. Food and water will be available for runners at the finish.
Spectators:
Spectators welcome for free.
Parking:
Parking is available at no charge
Post Party:
No post party, just food!
Other:
Get muddy for our mission – 100 % of the proceeds stays local and goes to provide quality programing for youth and their families at Bethesda Lutheran Serivces.
Team:
Teams of four runners are welcome.
