Course Description:
A fairly difficult course, with hills in the woods behind our campus. Participants will encounter at least 16 different obstacles including tires, army crawls through the mud, rope swing and more!
Aid Stations:
The volunteer fire department will be on standby along with our maintenance team periodically checking on the racers. Lunch at the finish line including fruit and water.
Prizes:
Best team outfit, as judged by our volunteers, will win a prize.
Spectators:
$10 for Lunch Only tickets for any one who does not run. The only real spectator area would be watching the race finish as the runners run to the big slide and mud pit at the end.
Parking:
Free parking on Bethesda campus or across the street at the Child Development Center. A crossing guard will help those who park at the Development Center to safely make it across the street.
Post Party:
We will have lunch provided after the race with a playlist of music.
Other:
This event is a major fundraiser for Bethesda Foundation for Children. With the money raised, we can help give the youth we serve a ""normal"" life with after school programs, community outings, sports equipment to be on the local team, art supplies and other items as needed. The suggested minimum age for the Mud Run is 12 however with a parent, under 12 can run. This event is not timed because we want everyone to have fun no matter if they run or walk or do both. There is a place to be hosed off and then changing area after the race. We suggest putting your bag of extra clothes in your car until after the race as there is no ""gear check""
Team:
Welcome to race as a team, with matching or coordinating outfits, just sign up for the race the same way as an individual but there is a special place when buying your ticket online to note what team you are from. Suggested 4 people per team however that is not required.
