What You Get / What's Included:
The Blood & Sweat Challenge is not like most other OCR races in that it is a short, face pace high intensity race beginning with a .15 mile run with a 70 pound Seabag. Once the runner returns with the Seabag he will drag a 90 pound tire for 100 yards, run with two 30 pound ammo cans for 75 yards, then a bucket full of gravel for 75 yards before beginning the obstacles. The 16 obstacles in order are as follows:
1 - Single bar with sliding pvc pipe around it that slightly spins as competitors attempt to climb up and over it.
2 - Wall climb (8 feet)
3 - Trampoline hops 4 small trampolines racers must kangaroo hop across to a single cement block and land without falling then jump onto a rolling log.
4 - 8 feet high Rope wall
5 - Balance beam 16 feet long
6 - Beast box 300 pounds box racers must flip 6 times and climb over.
7 - 8 swinging rings
8 - Low crawl under chicken wire for 30 feet
9 - Kettle hoist with 75 pounds they must pull up and ease down two times.
10 - Tire mountain- a 12 foot high mountain of tires to climb over.
11 - 64 foot long wall climb
12 - Agility seesaw
13 - Monkey bars with 8 bars
14 - 12 foot warped wall (3) attempts
16 - Wall climb down
15 - 18 foot Rope climb
Competitors will start the race every 3 minutes. Racers will be eliminated if the racer behind them reaches them or obstacle they are on.
There will be a licensed nurse on standby and an emergency response team. Fruit, water and other food and beverages will be available.
1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals!
1st Place winner will be awarded the Blood & Sweat gold medal, a $200 cash prize, a voucher to compete in the next Blood & Sweat Challenge for free, and a free life time membership at Gunny’s Boot Camp Blood & Sweat obstacle course.
2nd Place will be awarded the 2nd place red Blood & Sweat Dog Tag, a $100 cash prize, and a $25 off voucher to compete in the next Blood & Sweat Challenge.
3rd Place will be awarded the 3rd place black Blood & Sweat Dog Tag, a $50 cash prize, and a $10 off voucher to compete in the next Blood & Sweat Challenge.
We do ammo-can lifts at the beginning for the most reps. The winner will win an ammo-can with a Blood & Sweat Plaque. The most pull ups will receive a trophy.
Tickets are $6 until January 31st and go up $1 each month until day of the event.
Parking is free and there access to the event from the parking lot is easy. Spectators will be able to view the race from bleachers.
The Blood & Sweat event raises donations for the Special Operations Wounded Warriors. (SOWW) Competitors must be 18 years old or parents may sign a waiver for teenagers ages 16 and 17 to compete.
There are no team competition for this race.
