Gettin Muddy For Kids Boys & Girls Club of Southeastern Connecticut and Fields Of Fire - Mystic present our GETTIN' MUDDY FOR KIDS Mud 5k obstacle course run!!! It's is a family friendly version of the the Original Mud Run, Spartan Race, Warrior Dash, etc. Hence, we will have obstacles throughout our 5k trail run but there will not be extreme obstacles with such things as barbed wire, electric fencing, ice water nor fire. Yet, it will still be plenty challenging!!! We have been told by many that our GMFK was more challenging than the WD. We offer two courses to meet the desires of ALL our adventurous friends! Whether you have done a mud run in the past or have always wanted to this is the one for you! And proceeds go to a GREAT cause!!

Gettin' Muddy For Kids 5k obstacle course run is a fundraiser for Boys & Girls Club of Southeastern Connecticut. Most people assume that we get funding from the national BGCA automatically yet we do not. We pay a membership fee annually, we must apply for BGCA grants to receive funding and purchase our own programming materials via BGCA. Proceeds from Gettin’ Muddy for Kids Mud Run will go to the Boys & Girls Club of Southeastern CT programming which serves disadvantaged youth in Groton and New London. Membership is only $10 a month or less for which they have Club every school day for 3 hours and longer on half days. With your help BGC of SECT has the potential to transform a child’s view on life and create a culture of opportunity and success. Won’t you help us reach our goal? We invite you to consider joining us in furthering our mission and increasing our impact.

Please join us for some muddy family-friendly fun while raising money to support your local Boys & Girls Club of Southeastern CT.

Course Description:

Think traditional New England trail .... hilly, knotty, curvy, gnarly, wooded, fierce and FUN!!
There are two trails to choose from ~ regular and advanced. Mud mud mud with climbing walls, crossing beams, spool crawls, tires, HILLS, corrugated pipes into mud pit, cargo net, swamp cross etc

Aid Stations:

There will have aid stations on the course.
Paramedics will be on site and there will be both fruit and water and ice cream for runners.

Awards:

There is a timing clock but no timing company

Spectators:

Spectators are free!!

Parking:

Parking is free!

Post Party:

Post party at HARP & HOUND in Mystic CT !!
No alcohol on site of event .

Other:

GETTIN MUDDY FOR KIDS is fundraiser for the local Boys & Girls Club of Southeastern CT at an intense paintball park in Mystic CT. We provide a gnarly trail and set up about 15 obstacles for each of the 2 trails (regular or advanced). We also provide bag check, showers and free parking!! There will be awesome raffles ongoing throughout the day (need not be present to win).

10 years and older may participate with parent on site and run with an adult
For our Mini Muddies (age 6 yo plus) mud run play area will be available with adult supervision throughout GETTIN MUDDY FOR KIDS event.
