Course Description:
Swamp Stomp Mud Run, 'Instant gratification with a 3.6 mile waiting line.' This isn't a half marathon with a couple of ropes, barbed wire and one big obstacle like the other expensive Mud Runs you see advertised. We are packing more obstacles into this than you can imagine with a healthy mix of challenges and fun!
This race will be a 3.6 mile mud run with 20+ obstacles. Obstacles include; 'Hill & Spill' (a 20ft mud mountain with a 10ft wide trench around the base), 'Over the Mudder and through the Woods' (dirt mounds separated by a 40ft water obstacle with poles that you must alternate going over and under), 'Flippity Doo-Dah' (Off-road tires just waiting to be put in their place), 'Wheel House Truck & Duck' (30yrds of spare tires but you'll have to duck a truck to get in and out) as well as several water crossings, mud crawls and much more!
Aid Stations:
Water station around mile 1.5-2 and at finish line.
First Aid/EMT at finish line. Bananas at finish line.
Awards:
1st,2nd 3rd place mens and womens medal for the first wave.
Prizes:
Best costume mens and womens.
Spectators:
$5. 2 spectating areas
Parking:
$10 per car, please car pool.
Parking is in a field so don't drive a low rider!
Post Party:
DJ - Kevin Sutton from 740am ""The Game"" host of the Kevin Sutton Show.
Food trucks & vendors will be on-site.
Other:
What sets us apart from the other Mud Runs you see on facebook is that 100% of the proceeds from this event will go to fund ""Boot Camp for New Dads"" (part of Healthy Start Coalition of Orange County) with donations being made to ""Operation Restored Warrior"" so while you give your 100% in the race, we will too!
No Chip Timing
Team:
Yes teams are fun!!! If a team of 10 or more signs up I (Bryan Nelson) will dress in a suit and tie (and new arm cast) and run one of the obstacles as a promo video dedicated to that team. If a team of 30 or more signs up I'll dress in a bite-suit and let (race co-designer) and retired Navy SEAL Rich Graham unleash his service dog on me while running an obstacle as a promo video dedicated to that team.... Yes, I've said it and posted it...I'll do it!
