Mountain Mucker The Mountain Mucker 2013 Course is a 5K obstacle course race which will take you up, and down, (and up and down again at least one more time) the challenging terrain of Mount Sunapee in Newbury, NH. Natural (you do realize this is a ski mountain, right?) as well as Adrenaline Junkee made obstacles will keep you using your strength, stamina, balance, brain, and teammates (or perfect strangers) to get you through the course. For those of you that want a little something extra, there will be an additional “Challenge Loop” that will lengthen the race and provide for additional obstacles. Oh….and yes, there will be mud, we don’t call it “The Mucker” for nothing. All participants in the 5K race must be ages 12 and up. Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parental release signed and we ask that anyone under the age of 14 have an adult race with them.

Course Description:

There are 15 obstacles and 3 optional challenge loops.
The course has three ascents as part of the course with three optional challenge ascents.
The obstacles balance upper body, lower body, balance, and mental challenges.

Aid Stations:

There are 2 aid stations on the course and a third at the finish line

Awards:

There will be a cash prize for the elite heat.
Challenge competitors receive prizes randomly

Post Party:

Yes, the post party is at Salt Hill Pub at the bottom of Mount Sunapee.
There will be a live band

Other:

Adrenaline Junkees have given all of the profits from this event to the New England Handicapped Sports Association for the past three years.
There are two live bands that play during the event so you can get some food, beverage, and enjoy the mountain air while listening to good music.
There are two kids races
