A fun and muddy obstacle course for dogs and their owners. The first ever Muddy Dog Challenge in the North East is taking place just north of the city of Newcastle Upon Tyne, at the fabulous Newcastle Racecourse in High Gosforth Park.
VET will be onside and effective emergency plans are set.
Free access for spectators.
Car park available.
In the event village you will find the start and finish areas, information tent, valuables drop, toilets, changing areas, first aid, vet cover, food and drink stalls, paddling pools and drinking water for dogs, and a rinse station.
Bring adequate cash to the event for parking and what you need on the day for food/drink as there will not be anywhere on-site to withdraw money.
There will be a rinsing station on the day with hoses you can use to rinse yourself and your dog after the event.
It’s fine for dogs to take part with a muzzle.
Only one dog is allowed per adult participant.
All the obstacles are designed so that if a person or dog doesn’t want to take them on, they can walk around and move onto the next one. If you are concerned about your dog’s health or ability to take part in the event, we recommend you seek advice from your vet.
Due to the high number of dogs taking part in the Muddy Dog Challenge, all dogs participating in the event need to be sociable around other dogs. If we feel that your dog is becoming reactive or stressed on the day, you may be asked to leave the event by a member of the Battersea Team.
We would strongly recommend that you speak to your vet about having a titer test instead of a vaccination which is what we would naturally prefer for safety reasons.
If your dog has a disability we would urge you to seek advice from your vet as to whether you can take part. If your vet is happy for you and your dog to take part, that is fine with us - however, please just be conscious of other dogs at the event, particularly in the event village, and the obstacles.
You can have a maximum or 10 people per team. You can join the event with your complete family.
