Buccaneer Rampage The first annual Buccaneer Rampage will be Saturday August 24th 2013 in Newport Oregon, and will feature a number of challenging obstacles spread out over a few miles of muddy, steep terrain. Competitors will have to brave everything from flaming hurdles to mud crawls and rope walls. Everyone finishing the race will recieve a prize and there will be a special prize for the best pirate costume.

The event will also feature an after party, with music, food, and a beer garden.

This event is organized by the City of Newport Parks and Recreation, and proceeds from the event go to help the youth sports scholarship program.

Course Description:

Competitors will have to brave everything from mud crawls, puddle jumps, rope walls and more.
We will be offering a mini-kids obstacle race after most of the adults have crossed the finish line. We want to see kids run, jump, get muddy and have a great time while conquering obstacles.

Aid Stations:

There will be water and first-aid stations with volunteer EMS personnel along the course as well as race monitors patrolling the race.

Prizes:

Prizes will be given to the best male and female pirate costume!

Parking:

Parking will be in adjacent fields across from the registration area. Watch for signs. All fields used for parking are within walking distance to the event.

Post Party:

Don't leave right after the race, we will also feature music, food, and a beer garden.

Other:

Team:

We encourage teams. You will have more fun if you have a buddy to get muddy with! There will not be a special wave for teams. Come show off your best team spirit.
