Course Description:
The Black Swamp Runner is a 3.2 miles, 26+ obstacles, open fields, woods, wetlands, and mud. Lots and lots of Black Swamp Mud! Most obstacles offer a standard and an EXTREME portion, so you can choose your challenge.
Whether you're the extreme athlete looking to push your limits or you're a first-timer who wants to get off the couch and try something new, this is your course!
Aid Stations:
We will have two water stations on the course along with another at the finish line.
There will be two paramedics on site during the event with volunteers through out the course with radios.
Awards:
Awards will be given to the top three (by chip time) in each age group for each gender
Spectators:
Spectators are welcome for free. The black Swamp Runner Course is very spectator friendly.
Parking:
There is on-site parking and it cost $10 (cash only)
Post Party:
There will be food and refreshments.
Other:
We donate a portion of every race registration fee to local non-profits in our runners' names.
Team:
The course is great for groups and team building.
Kids Race:
The minimum age is 9 years old, but 9 and 10 year olds must be with an adult at all times during the run. (no exceptions)
There is a couple small obstacles near the photo banner where the kids can get a taste of what the big kids do.
