Memorial Beach Challenge Memorial Beach Challenge is proud to organize and host an annual event that brings together athletes and families for a day of competition and comradery—but also to honor those who have served and support the heroes still in the fight. 100% of the proceeds from the event benefit The 31Heroes Project, Navy SEAL Foundation, and Travis Manion Foundation. These organizations specialize in creating programs, financial support systems and future opportunities for service members, veterans and their families.

With an ocean stand-up paddleboard race, a soft-sand adventure race—featuring Navy SEAL-approved obstacles—and even a Fun Run for kids, the Memorial Beach Challenge event has something for individual athletes and teams of all ages. But beyond the races that test our own physical and mental strength, the day is about honoring those whose sacrifice, strength, and bravery helps preserve the freedom we enjoy every day. The event closes with a moving memorial service, ensuring that the legacies of our heroes are never forgotten.

Course Description:

The main Obstacle Course Challenge event is a soft-sand adventure race—featuring Navy SEAL-approved obstacles. Very popular for young families is our Kids Fun Run, the Memorial Beach Challenge event has something for individual athletes and teams of all ages.
Participants will experience different obstacles in the course including Dean Adams Balance Beam, Wall/Ladder, Sandy bag Carry, Water Traverse, Sand Dunes, Grinder, Cargo Low crowl, and Tube Obstacle among others.

Aid Stations:

There will be two aid stations

Awards:

There will be awards for the top three finishers

Spectators:

Local Supporters are welcome

Parking:

Parking in open to first come in the city lots and on the streets

Post Party:

Expect music from live bagpipers to commemorate the ceremony as a solemn reminder of the sacrifice of our heroes and the legacies they have left to inspire us all

Other:

All proceeds from the Memorial Beach Challenge event supports 31Heroes —an organization dedicated to serving service members, veterans, and their families.

Team:

Create or join Teams; teams of up to 4 persons

Kids Race:

The kids run as one of the most exciting part of the day, the heats are age based and parents may escort their child.
We ask that all parents have their kids ready to for the 9:15 Pre-Race Meeting. The heats move fast so please do not wonder off. The course is a 1/2 mile +/- long in the soft sand.
