The course runs counter clockwise, up the Grand River, remaining within the Brant Conservation Area boundary at all times. A combination of man-made and natural obstacles will challenge participants. Our event is scheduled to have 30 obstacles. Participants will encounter mud, muck, water, embankments, hills, plains and trees. Participants will be expected to slide down hills, flip tires, wade through mud, climb walls, run through tires, scale a quarter pipe and army crawl through pine straw. The course will showcase the natural beauty of the Conservation Area, along with vistas of the Grand River, Wilkes Dam, Brantford Golf and Country Club and a few of our park attractions. The course is meant to be challenging but can be completed by participants aged 12 years and up.
We will have several water stations and paramedics on standby during our event. We will be providing participants with a light lunch upon completion of the mud run. Each obstacle will be supervised on-site by an Auxiliary Police Officer, trained in first-aid with a two-way radio for assistance.
We will have a prize for the top charitable fundraiser!
Spectators are asked to pay the entrance fee for entering the park. This is $6.00 per adult, $5.25 per senior (65+) and Children are $3.00. Children under 5 years of age are free.
Parking will be included with your registration. Carpooling is always an option to save space and the environment as the event is being held in a conservation area. The parking lot will be adjacent to the start / finish line and close to the camping area.
We will be having post race entertainment. Strodes BBQ will be on-site along with the Brant Conservation Area Concession stand located at the pool. We have also invited a few Food Trucks to attend.
What makes our event unique is that we have a 1.5 acre pool located within the park that our participants and spectators will be able to take advantage of. We are also offering our participants discounted group camping making our event a family fun weekend.
You are welcomed to sign up on the day of the race. You are encouraged to sign up in advance and register your team. Since our event is a fundraiser for charity, children from the Lansdowne Children's Centre will be present to cheer on our participants. Anyone who would like to raise additional funds is encouraged to do so and our top fundraiser will earn a prize.
