The real challenge awaits you in the cold, short days of December…The Arctic Dash will push you to your limit…a 4K race around Camp Kern with challenges as varied as military obstacles, water crossing, lateral thinking and a fatiguing sprint to the line. Adrenaline, strength and speed will only get you so far…the rest is pure determination.

Course Description:

The Arctic Dash Course has evolved over the years and is now an all encompassing mud / obstacle run over approximately 5K...all of it on YMCA Camp Kern property and using all of our unique landscape and natural features. The race will contain 18+ obstacles, varying from the slightly challenging to almost crazy! Course is made up of muddy hills, water pits, in-and-out ravines, man-made obstacles, natural obstacles.

Aid Stations:

Two water stations throughout the course. Paramedics will be on standby. Plenty of volunteer support on the course to help with any situation. Fruit/Water/Bagels/Heat Sheets will be available at the finish.

Awards:

Awards for top overall male and female runner. Awards for following male and female of following age groups: 16-25, 26-35, 36-45, 46-55 and 55+. Winner's receive custom Bobblehead Trophies.

Spectators:

Event is free to spectators. Free coffee is available. Bleacher seating at the finish line area. A kids course and inflatables for children.

Parking:

Free parking at venue.

Post Party:

Free post-race beer/soda/water and snacks (bagels, bananas, etc.)

Other:

100% of proceeds go towards scholarships to help send kids to Summer Camp.
