Course Description:

The Braveheart Challenge is an obstacle trail run over 6-7 miles with 20+ obstacles including but not limited to: walls, bucket carries, over-under ropes, army crawling nets, and more. Located in Oak Mountain State Park, about 25% of the run is flat with roughly 75% over uphill and downhill terrain.

Aid Stations:

There will be at least 2-3 aid stations along the course with paramedics on standby. There will also be water and snacks at the finish line.

Awards:

There will be awards for the top 3 male and female finishers in the competitive heat. The top overall winner will receive an engraved sword.

Prizes:

Prizes will also be awarded for the best male and female costume.

Spectators:

Spectators are free. Due to the nature of the course, spectators will only be able to view from the start and finish lines.

Parking:

Parking will be free. We do recommend carpooling, however, to allow as many people as possible to park by the start and finish line.

Post Party:

There will be a pre-race party on Friday, October 27th at the sponsor facility - BlackWatch Sports Performance (19220 US-280) with food trucks, music, and a costume contest.

Other:

There will be a gear check. You do not have to be able to swim to compete. The Braveheart Challenge is for ages 14 & up. Kids ages 14-15 must compete with an adult. There will be a 1-mile obstacle run for kids under the age of 14. The event will be timed.

Team:

We encourage teams to enter into the race. There is no special scoring per teams but racing together may make some obstacles easier. If you register with a team larger than 4 people, contact ryan@blackwatchsports.com to learn more about a team discount. If registering with a team, put your team name in the ""Notes and Comments"" section of the registration in the following format: TEAM NAME: ""team name""
