Course Description:

The course is approximately 1 mile in length with a variety of obstacles spread along the course. Running on uneven dirt terrain throughout with some small hills and underdeveloped trails.
Obstacles consist of hurdles, straw bale climb overs, a-frame climb, balance beams, slip n slides, tire stutters, rope swing over mud, cargo net climbs and a mud crawl to the finish, not to mention other surprise obstacles along the way. It is not a tough course by adult standards, but it has been designed to be challenging to the little warriors in your family.
The obstacles were specifically made to work with kids mental and physical abilities at this age level.

Aid Stations:

We always have a roaming EMT on site in case of cuts and abrasions. They are usually found at the finish line area but can be called out to a location on the course if need be.
Water always available at the finish line, other snacks available.

Spectators:

Spectators are free. They are allowed to be on site at the staging area but not allowed on the obstacle course or in the way of the runners.

Parking:

Parking is $5 per car at Lee Farms for this event. The lot is on site at Lee Farms.
Carpooling is helpful but not necessary.

Post Party:

We have music and radio personalities onsite all day playing great music and emceeing for the crowd.

Other:

This event was designed just for kids, inspired by all the adult mud runs taking the nation by storm.
We cater to the kids with our schwag and vendors and have tons of fun watching them get muddy! We encourage parents to go with their kids, especially those under 10 years old, as some of the obstacles are challenging enough to need a parent's guidance.
We will be working with the Young marines this year, and supporting their endeavors.
We do not time the race seeing as we don't want the kids to be under any more pressure than they already are. Accomplishing the obstacles is empowering enough. Plus, we want families to enjoy the time on the course together without feeling rushed.
No swimming ability needed, but there are water elements on the course and a small ""splash"" pool at the end of one of our obstacles.
There is no gear check, you are responsible for your own personal items.
There will be a shower station at the end of the course for the kiddos to wash off before you get them back in your car. We do recommend that you bring a change of clothes, shoes and a towel (or 2 or 3) to help the young ones get clean before you head home. A change of clothes for you too, parents, in case you join along.
We often allow runners who have already gone on the course to run again in another wave for free if we have room on the course. We recommend you staying after your wave for a while to see if you can go through the course again.

Team:

No official teams.
