YMCA Rat Race YMCA Rat Race is a new, annual obstacle event featuring maximum fun and RATtical behaviour. The 8km course is based around the Brisbane River and the Kangaroo Point cliffs. Teams of 4 “Rat-sters” must protect their inflatable “cheese” and carry it across the finish line - after conquering 12 challenging obstacles.

Course Description:

In 2018, we will be introducing a few new elements to the event including making both courses, 8km and 4km, available to everyone aged 7+. With up to 14+ ratty obstacles including the torturous RAT TRAP and the adrenalin pumping BIG CHEESE and 10+ BRAND NEW “Wild Cards”, our teams are in for an amazing experience.

Aid Stations:

There will be an aid station at the event start/ finish area in addition to 1x first aid officer every second obstacle.

Prizes:

Yes - there will be a prize for the best costume!

Spectators:

Spectators are free

Parking:

We recommend using public transport. There is very limited parking onsite. Should you wish to park in the city, Secure Parking will be offering $5 all day parking for Race Participants who Pre-book online.

Post Party:

There will be a huge festival like after party in the park where the race finish. Food, drinks, LIVE music and entertainment will be available until 7pm.

Team:

YMCA Rat Race is a team event - teams of 2,3 or 4 can race together :)
