Course Description:

We’ve taken the key elements from color runs and obstacle course races, combined them, and added our own twist to make it the best possible 5K experience in the world!

We’ll have everything from the Tarzan Vines to crossing the See-Saw Plank, then down the Super Slide, across the WaterWalk, and through the Human Spider Web. Plus at least 10 more mixed in, so there’s no shortage of incredibly challenging yet undeniably fun obstacles to enjoy.

Aid Stations:

Water will be provided before, during, and after the run.
Of course, at each of our events we will have food options available. We love to work with local vendors at each location. Complimentary oranges and bananas will be handed out to the participants at the finish line.
We will have a team of EMT and first responders on site ready to handle any injuries that may occur.

Awards:

No awards or prizes

Spectators:

Our course is designed with spectators in mind with several of our more fun to watch obstacles around the festival area. Also there will be food, beverages, and activities available for our spectators.

Parking:

The parking lot is located next to the event and costs $10 per car.
We recommend carpooling.

Post Party:

Just when you cross the finish line and think it’s over, we pull you right back in with a post-race party to keep the festivities going featuring music, food and more fun! Plus, we haven’t even mentioned our Color Spike that erupts a Pompeian color explosion of epic proportions every half-hour.

Other:

Our charity partner is the Make-A-Wish Foundation. We love what we do and one of the best parts about it is that we are a vehicle for charitable donations. A portion of every registration fee is donated to charity.
Our minimum for a participant to run is 14. However, we will allow a participants down to age 12 if accompanied by a participating parent or guardian. There is no age limit at the event festival.
We will offer packet pickup prior to the event and we highly suggest you pick up your packet the day before the race if you can. The exact details vary for each city, but you can expect email communication and postings to the website with the exact details in the 2 weeks leading up to your event.
The color powder that we use is colored cornstarch. It is the highest quality food grade cornstarch available and made in the USA, seriously we Googled it. While it is harmless, we don’t recommend eating it.
The color does mostly wash out of your clothes. We recommend visiting one of our air blasting stations to get the excess powder off and then just like anything else that’s dirty, the sooner you wash it the better. Wear something you don’t mind getting colorful.
While it can’t hurt and we encourage an active, healthy lifestyle, most people should be able to complete the majority of our obstacles without a training regimen. Our goal with our obstacles is to find a balance between fun and challenging.
It is not required, but highly recommended you wear mostly white. You can wear the official The Color Course T from your participant swag bag or a white t-shirt of your own choosing. The color on white makes for a better picture for your profile pics anyways!
