The course is mostly run on dirt and grass trails through forest and fields.
There are some short roadside sections for the 10K runners and their course includes several more obstacles than the 5K.
The race takes you through beautiful forest and scenic fields and along the lake's edge in several sections.
There are over 20 obstacles that will have you climbing up and over, crawling through and under, jumping and pushing, dragging, bending, and balancing, you'll get a bit wet and dirty, and have a blast doing it! At the finish, you can enjoy a complementary microbrew in your Epic Grind pint glass that comes with your race entry.
The Epic Grind Race Course route takes you through wooded areas, field terrain, over water, beside the lake, moderate hills with obstacles spread throughout. Many of our obstacles are described here:

There are great locations where spectators and fans can see participants at multiple obstacles - great photo ops for Tug Boat, Keg Stand, Tall Enough, Spoolin' Around, Massive Rope Climb, Walk on Water, and Tired Wall to name a few.
Spectators will need to pay for their vehicle entrance into the park unless they are in the same vehicle as the participant.

Parking fee is $10.00, these funds in their entirety go to Scoggins Valley Park and our charity - Gales Creek Camps for Children with Type I Diabetes.

There is an Elite category, 5K and 10K options, regular heats for those regular runners, and an awesome Kids Run.
