Organizer:North American OCR Championships The NorAm OCR Championships will bring some of North America's best races and athletes together for one weekend of competition, during which North American Champions will be crowned, as well as Canadian and US Champions. Competition formats include 3-kilometer, 15-kilometer, and Team racing events. This race was formerly known as the US OCR Championships The United States OCR Championships is the first-ever independent OCR championship event for American athletes, created by a partnership between top obstacle course racing events such as Warrior Dash, Savage Race, Terrain Racing, Green Beret Challenge, Conquer The Gauntlet, and others. This alliance is designed to give legal US residents a proving ground to compare their performance against other American athletes and qualify for the OCR World Championships if they choose.

In the event of cancellation by USOCRC organizers, participants will be issued a full refund of their registration fee. Refunds are not provided otherwise.
|Registered athletes in the Pro Division unable to compete due to injury or personal circumstances may defer their qualification to the following year. The following year’s registration fee is not waived in these instances.|
|No transfers are allowed. The U.S. OCR Championships are intended to be a competition between the best American obstacle course racers in their respective divisions. As such, transfers of race entries are strictly prohibited. Athletes found to be in violation of this policy may be banned from the U.S. OCR Championship events.|

Set in Texas Hill Country, the USOCRC is a challenging course set within varying terrain. While elevation gain and loss will not be severe, rolling terrain, mud, rocks, brush, and other natural features will be utilized to the fullest to test each athlete's endurance, strength, and agility.
The 3k course will feature approximately 11 obstacles, and the 15k course may feature as many as 40 obstacles, including natural and man-made barriers.
US OCR Championships race partners such as Savage Race, Warrior Dash, Terrain Racing, Conquer The Gauntlet, Green Beret Challenge and others will have featured obstacles indicative of their race series.
Expect a course to test each athlete's strength, agility, endurance, and grit, set in a distinctly American setting in the heart of the Texas Hill Country.
Average temperature in September For Hill Country is mid 80's for highs, and mid 60's for lows. Please prepare for the possibility of precipitation, as September's rainfall average is nearly 4 inches.
Multiple aid stations will be set up throughout the courses, water and food will be available at the finish line area. Athletes are encouraged to bring their own hydration and nutrition as needed, and are responsible for placing all trash in appropriate receptacles at the start and finish area. No littering will be permitted, violators may be subject to disqualification or removal from the grounds.
Pro Division top 3 men and women will receive a cash prize at the awards ceremony for both the 3k and 15k Championships, Open Division athletes will receive recognition for top 3 male/female placement in each age group.
Prize purse is limited to the top 3 male & female finishers in the Pro Division of the 3k Championships and 15k Championships.
There is no charge for friends and family to watch the US OCR Championships, however spectators are restricted to specific areas for athlete, staff, volunteer, and visitor safety.
Spectators are encouraged to participate in all the festivities before, during, and after the event and award ceremony in designated areas.
Parking is available on-premises, with weekend parking permits as low as $20. Details will be provided in the Athlete's Packet prior to the event.
Pre- and post-event parties, dinners, and other festivities will be announced leading up to the event, with additional information provided in advance through USOCRC social media and athlete emails.
Lodging, housing, camping, and RV parking is available at Y.O. Ranch Headquarters for nearly every budget, but is extremely limited. Numerous accommodation options are available within 30 minutes in Kerrville, TX.
There is no qualification requirement for Age Group Divisions, however, Pro Division athletes are required to qualify to compete based on his/her performance at specific US-based qualifying races.
Additionally, entry into the event is restricted to U.S. citizens and legal US residents.
There are two events over the course of the weekend: the 3k Short Course Championship on Saturday, September 2, and the 15k Standard Course Championships on Sunday, September 3.
Competition at the inaugural United States Obstacle Course Racing Championships is divided into two categories: Pro or Age Group. Within the Pro division, all athletes compete together for cash prizes. Within Age Group, athletes compete with athletes within their age category (for example, Men 30-34). For the 2017 event, qualification is only required for the Pro Division.
The United States OCR Championships is an individual race, there will be no team-based race or points tabulated, but we absolutely encourage athletes to represent their state, region, or club.
