Mud Run participants will be challenged by 5 miles of mud, dirt, water and more. With approximately 20 obstacles including water gauntlets, logs, a plunge, and many others we can’t tell you about – this will be the dirtiest test you will ever take.
The JCB MudFest is designed for and geared toward having fun, getting muddy, and getting your heartbeat up! That said, the obstacles will not be as intense as some other muddy events throughout the country – NO fire pits,death-defying towers or barbed wire! There will be some serious mud pits to slosh through, some other man-made, remember we manufacture dirt-loving equipment, and natural obstacles to conquer.
There will be at least 2 ambulances staffed with paramedics on site and an additional staff of 4-6 athletic trainers to treat small injuries (cuts, twisted ankles etc.).
Water will be available to all race participants along with food.
First and Second Place Awards will be given to the following divisions for the best overall times.
There will be an awards ceremony celebrating the winners of the Dig the Ride and Mud Run events on the stage during the Post-Race Party so make sure you stay and enjoy the party!
There will be TEAM AWARDS in these categories:
Mud Kids (All Males – 8-14 years old), Mud Kids (All Females – 8-14 years old), Mud Teens (All Males – 15-19 years old), Mud Teens (All Females – 15-19 years old), Mud Buds (All Males – 20 – 39 years old), Mud Buds (All Female – 20 – 39 years old), Mud Buds Couples (Co-ed – 20 – 39 years old), Mud Masters (All Males – 40 – 59 years old, Mud Masters (All Females – 40 – 59 years old), Mud Masters Couples (Co-ed – 40 – 59 years old), Mud Grand Masters (All Genders – 60+ years old), Mud Military (All Military – Any Age / Gender), Mud Champions (Any Gender / Age – JCB Mud Run Overall Winners).
Some ADDITIONAL AWARDS are Best Team Name, Best Team Costume (Best Costume Awards will be judged on June 20th at the JCB Events Trailer (near start/finish) starting at 7:15 AM! Just remember to keep the costumes family friendly since there will be plenty of kids of all ages enjoying the mud and sludge!)
Spectators are FREE to enter, but there is a $10 donation to The Lady Bamford Center to partake in all of the Party Pit activities such as food and drink.
There will be several designated spectator areas and some areas to free roam.
Parking is free, but is limited so definitely carpool - the lot this year is even closer than in the past few years directly across from the start and finish line.
The theme of JCB MUDFEST is RUN.RIDE.PARTY!
In the Party Pit all participants receive free access to the Party Pit including food and drink (both adult beverages and more family friendly).
In addition to food and drink - there will be live music!
The Mud Run will ONLY have teams of two. Sorry, no individuals, you’ll be happy you have a partner for some of the obstacles.
Sorry, no friends of the four-legged variety are allowed. Unless, of course, they are a registered guide dog and are easily identified as such.
There will be plenty of frosty cold beverages to soothe your thirst after the race! Make sure you BRING YOUR ID! There will be an ID check for a beer bracelet. No bracelet, no beer! And of course plenty of non-alcoholic beverages too (we’re doubling this year’s order of water, so plenty to go around)!
Both event registrations come with unlimited access to the Party Pit activities including food and drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic).
After you finish, cleaning stations are available to help wash some of the mud and dirt off… if you want! There will be plenty of time to dry off (if it’s not raining) at the after party too!
Parts of the lake may be over 6 feet deep. There will be ropes and other sneaky ways to get yourself across. However if you are unable, or do not want to swim you may run around the lake. There will be also be certified lifeguards on duty at all times.
Sorry, but there are no refunds. As soon as the registration is processed, the proceeds go to The Lady Bamford Center for Early Childhood Development.
if it rains that’s even better… more MUD! Some weather considerations may require an adjustment to the start time but we’re getting muddy on race day!
Sorry, NO bag check, so make sure to bring a friend if you need someone to hold your “stuff.” Please leave valuables, especially jewelry at home!
Because all the fun is so muddy, you may only RUN in teams of 2 - no single runners and no groups larger than 2.
