Mud on the Mountain Mud on the Mountain offers athletes a chance to get down and dirty atop the beautiful Laurel Highlands. The seven mile mud run course winds its way up, down and through some of the most challenging terrain in Pennsylvania

If you are ready to tackle the Laurel Highlands, Mud on the Mountain is the event for you. Join scores of others as you test what you are made of on the slopes at Seven Springs Mountain Resort, the largest ski and four season resort in Pennsylvania. Across more than seven miles of body-breaking terrain you will traverse ponds, scale boulder fields, climb your way over obstacles and claw your way up impossible inclines, all on your way to a triumphant finish. After working to destroy your body, stick around for the Recovery Party in the Foggy Goggle, pamper yourself in the Trillium Spa and dine in one of the resort’s amazing restaurants, including Helen's, which offers upscale dining in a uniquely rustic setting.

Course Description:

Ages (8-12) 1.15 mile course will have 15 obstacles. Participants will go part way up the mountain and down ski slopes. Obstacles will include Mud Pit at Tyrol Pass, Mini Hurdles, Balance Smalance, Flat Tires, Fort Pitt Tunnels, Log Jam, among others.
Teens Ages 13-17 3.5 mile course, the equivalent to a 5k will have 23 obstacles. This course is designed to take participants up and down the mountain, over the water and through the woods. Obstacles in this course include; Bone Chiller, Swamp Swaggle, Dunk Dunk Goose, Toe The Line, Water Cooler, Fort Pitt Tunnels among other obstacles.

Paramedics on site

Prizes:

There are no prizes, just bragging rights and camaraderie with the runners in your heat.

Spectators:

Parents, family and friends are free and welcome to cheer their children in the course

Parking:

Parking is free. We have parking for thousands of cars on the mountain.
Carpooling is encouraged for the sake of the environment and to help ease the congestion on the mountain.
If you are staying with us on the mountain you will have reserved parking near the hotel.

Post Party:

Foggy Goggle and Emo's Pit will be open!

Team:

Please schedule your children and any groups together for the same heat if they want to run together.
