Toughest
Toughest is an event for those who seek the ultimate challenge. About 8 km filled with 30-50 obstacles such as Monkey Bars, Mud, Water and more....
6-8 km trail running - Every course is designed differently due to variations in the local terrain. We choose locations with great care and always try to give you variation and the elements of water, sand, mud & terrain. Besides that, we also try to find spots that are easy to reach both for runners and audience. The most spectacular obstacles are placed in regards to the spectators!
40+ obstacles - The mere intensity of a Toughest race is in itself a beauty! Apart from other races, we don’t want to be a running course with a few obstacles but a true obstacle course were you always see the next obstacle ahead. We seek to find variantion in terms of tougheness, strength and speed needed for the obstacles. Some might be technical and some are easy.
Individual & Team Entries - You can enter the race representing no other but yourself, or you can register as a team. At Toughest you always have to register individually. If you want to participate in a team, you just enter your teams name under team name in the register form. There are no extra cost for participating in a team. As a team, it’s your average time within the team that counts. The team with lowest average time wins. There are a few different classes for team to participate in.
Professional Race or for-fun-Challenge - For some Toughest is a race – meaning you compete to win against others. For some it is a challenge were you compete against yourself. Some do it for fun such as bachelor/bachelorette parties, kick-offs and those tend to keep pushing themselfs all through the after party as well!
Penalty Rounds - The penalty rounds make it challenging both for beginners and pros. For many it is a race where competition and time is important but for others it is about challenging yourself beyond the average running competition. Thanks to the penalty round, system we can see some of the toughest athletes take on the same course as bachelor teams and corporate team building events. This is possible since the toughest obstacles have alternative penalty rounds for those who dont make it either by failing or avoiding the obstacle. The penalty is typically additional running that will slow you down but still let you finish the race.
TEAM COMPETITION: You compete in teams of 4 people. Only one person runs at a time.
MOST LAPS IN 24H WINS: The team that runs the most laps in 24H wins and is crowned champions of the first and only European 24H obstacle course race.

TEAM CAPTAIN: Every team must choose a team captain whom all communication between the team and Toughest will run through. The team captain must also register the team for the race.
