Race Start Time:
15 minutes prior to your designated wave start; please proceed to the staging area for instructions. Your wave time is listed on your bib number and denoted by the color of your bib. Only competitive waves will be timed, a running clock will be positioned at the start and finish so that you can note your own time.

Course Description:
We’ve packed in more obstacles for 2014 than ever before! For the hard corps runner test your skills on our 10K plus course. This course includes militaristic obstacles that will get your juices pumpin’! Keep the traditions going strong by tackling the original World Famous Mud Run course. Don’t miss out on the hills you love to hate!
In honor of our fun runners, we’ve incorporated a 5K for 2014. This 5K course while shorter than the 10K is still packed with your favorite USMC obstacles and displays! Enjoy the classic World Famous Mud Run experience while covering half the distance. Tackle this event either as an individual or as a 5-person team. Come celebrate the history of the Marine Corps and create your own history!
Aid Stations:
Aid stations will be located approximately every mile on the course, be sure to stay properly hydrated
Water will be provided at the finish line.
Awards:
Female and Male age divisions are separated every 10 years as follows:
13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+
Active Duty Military – Female & Male Divisions: 18-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55+
Only the first two COMPETITIVE WAVES are eligible for awards.
Boots and Utes for 1st-3rd place male and female finishers only (no age division).

Spectators:
Spectators are Free! Bring your family and friends and enjoy the live bands.
Parking:
$5 (Military with Decal or ID Free) Shuttles provided.
Post Party:
Come for the run, stay for the fun at the world’s dirtiest party. Fun for the whole family! Fun for your and your friends! The World Famous Beer Garden, Margaritaville and food options available onsite. One FREE beer (or beverage if under 21) for every adult registered participant. Celebrate our 21 years with us and have a brew...be over 21 too! Free shuttle services provided to and from the event.
Fun Zone better than ever with carnival rides to include:
The Round Up,Ferris Wheel, Super Slide,Kaminski,Bounce Houses,Paintball,Water,Balls,Zip Line,Face Painting,Mini Golf (next to Lake O’Neill office)
Other:
All proceeds benefit Marines, Sailors and their families stationed aboard Camp Pendleton. You have the have the opportunity to race on the largest amphibious base in the world, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. Run with Marine warriors on the course, in the venue and motivating you throughout.
Minimum participation age is 13
World Famous Kid's Mud Run
This 1K kid’s mud run is perfect for the bite size runner of your family. The course features fun size obstacles and includes the World Famous final mud pit! Kids 6-12 are welcome to participate in this mini mud run. Kids receive a finisher medal and become part of the World Famous Mud Run family. Sign up your kids when you register yourself. World Famous Kids Run starts at 12pm. Leave no bite size runner behind, please be aware of wave start times and plan accordingly if you are running as well.
Team:
Teams must consist of 5 people. Option for male, female, or co-ed teams.
