Race Start Time:

Participants are divided over several start waves, which start every 20 minutes. This allows for a smooth flow on the course.

There are start waves for 6 km, 12 km, 18 km, and 42km. In start wave Alfa, men and women compete for the fastest time. Each start wave consists of several hundred participants.

Mud Masters The roots of Mud Masters Obstacle Run events lie in Amsterdam where Mud Masters introduced obstacle running in the Netherlands in 2012. In a short period of time participant numbers grew to over 10.000 per event.

All-round fitness, teamwork, hardship and fun. This is what you need to complete the challenging Mud Masters course, which is designed by Marines and inspired on the most challenging military obstacle courses in the world.

Mud Masters is a challenge. Finishing together is more important than winning. Completing the course is a goal to train for alone or with your (sport) friends, family members or colleagues. It’s hard work, but the reward of finishing together is worth it!

Men and women with leg-prosthesis (and even a wheelchair!) completed the course, no short-cuts! They inspired thousands of participants and spectators with their perseverance.

Course Description:

There is a 6-, 12-, 18- and 42-km trail. Everyone to Mud Masters so the challenge; from novice runners to die-hards! Not sure which challenge the best for you? On our preparation page you will find more information about the input level per distance.
At 6, 12 and 18 km course participants a unique circular descent. The 42 km trail is composed of one round of 18 km and two rounds of 12 km. The event location and the surrounding nature largely determine the route and the choice of the obstacles, so the editions in Haarlemmermeer, Weeze and Biddinghuizen have each offer a unique course.

Obstacles may include:
Getting Tyred, Sizzler, Jump-Overs, Monkey Bars, Golden Stairs, Walk of Fire, Splash Jump, Trenches, Water, Pipe Runner, Indiana Bridge, Battlefield, Night Crawlers, Great Walls, and much much more!

Aid Stations:

First aid, and care and support stations will be available

Awards:

Only the first start series ""Alpha"" is the group match with a 1st man and 1st woman winner. There is a game clock at the start and the finish. Mud Masters about together overcome a challenge and teamwork, 'no man behind'. The time is less important.

Spectators:

Spectators are welcome to encourage and support the Mud Masters. In the start-finish area a number of spectacular obstacles are visible and there’s music, food and drinks. However, please don’t get in the way of the participants, and follow the instructions of the Course Marshalls.

Parking:

Count on 2 hours for parking, start number pick-up and preparations for your start. Parking lots are open from 08.30 hrs.

Post Party:

After you’ve completed your run, you can enjoy food, drinks and music at the Mud Masters finisher’s party!

Other:

Gear check (sporting bag wardrobe) available. Only closed bags, no loose items.
Changing rooms and finisher's washing alley will be available
Mud Masters supports the Dutch Revalidatiefonds (Giro 953).
Minimum age is 18
Some obstacles have water, so you should be able to swim
For all groups other than alpha, you may skip an obstacle if necessary - it is your challenge.
