Race Start Time:

First wave goes off at 12:00pm. Waves released every 20 minutes. We are sending off a maximum of 150 participants per wave.
The maximum participants for this ""Family "" wave is 300.

Mud Dog Challenge Our venue is a permanent obstacle course that was designed and built to provide non-profits a new and fun way to hold a fundraising event. The distance is 5k and has over 20 obstacles, including mud. The course is groomed and irrigated. There is a permanent wash-off area that has adequate drainage. Our facility can handle 2400 participants in an event day. We have the ability to extend to additional days when needed.

Course Description:

The course is 5k with over 20 obstacles! MUD! MUD! MUD! You will not escape it! You will slide into it and crawl through it! Traverse the course and conquer the tunnels, tires, rocks, hurdles, walls, balance beams, Cargo Net wall, and more! Run or walk!

Aid Stations:

There are three water stations on the course. The course design is set-up that most areas are visible by obstacle spotters and spectators. The local fire department will have a unit on site with personnel. Water will be offered at the finish line, and we are working on offering fruit at the finish.

Spectators:

No spectator fee. We created the spectator area in the middle of a good part of the course. Spectators are not allowed on the course!

Parking:

Parking is on-site and is marked to maximize the property we have to work with. We need people to carpool, so we encourage carpooling. The cost per car is $10. In the event we need to expand, we have plans for additional parking and shuttle.

Post Party:

The event will have music and a DJ/MC. There will be food vendors. No after party at this point is planned.

Other:

Be a part of a great event helping to fund the research to END CANCER and change lives! 100% of monies raised through Pelotonia will go directly to The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center-Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute.
The minimum age for the full 5k course is age 11. The family wave is 1k and is for kids age 5+, along with a parent. This family wave is also for participants that are not ready for a full 5k course.
This event is not timed. There is a bag check available at no charge. We have built a permanent wash-off area with drainage to prevent pooling of dirty water.
The course does not have standing water, or water that you have to swim through. The water is fresh, but not drinkable. Obstacles are not located by any runoff or creek/river. All water obstacles are created the day of the event. Water obstacles are NOT located near portable restrooms.

Team:

During registration, participants can register and create a team to make it fun. We encourage costumes too!
