Course Description:

Courses are mapped out based on the terrain of the area and utilising this to the best degree in order to provide a great course to participants.
Our NSW course is unique, laid out along the Hawkesbury river and taking on all the terrain that surrounds it. This course is also the same course that our endurance athletes take on for the 24hr OCRWC Endurance Championships on June 8+9.
Our half course is based over 5km with 21+ obstacles, while our full course is based over 10km and 30+ obstacles.
Our courses are designed to be achievable by ANY and ALL fitness levels. Every obstacle is manageable but there is no penalty for skipping an obstacle if you choose to. The only exception to this is for the Elite racers on the Saturday.

Aid Stations:

2 x drink stations per course, as well as water and sponsor products at the finish line. Water is available in the festival area at all times. Medical is located in the festival area but will come to any location necessary during the event - notify the closest volunteer or staff member and they will radio for assistance.

Prizes:

Medals can be earned based on how many True Grit events you complete. For completing 3 events, you will earn a BRONZE medal. For 5 events, a SILVER medal. For 7 events, you will earn a GOLD medal and can run for free for life in our gold medal wave. Elite Racers in 2019 will compete for a podium finish to win a share of cash and product prizes.

Spectators:

Spectators can attend for free and watch the action from our festival area, which we surround with obstacles. They will have access to food and drink from vendors and get to see their loved ones cross the finish line victorious.

Parking:

Parking is $10 on the day and all proceeds go to Legacy, one of the charities we support. Legacy is a charity providing services to Australian families suffering after the injury or death of a spouse or parent, during or after their defence force service. We recommend car pooling to our events to save on money and help the environment. The car park areas are always walking distance to the course.

Post Party:

Our events have a festival area, open to anyone that wishes to come. This is a licensed area, serving alcohol.
We have food and drink vendors available to purchase from, as well as a band and a DJ to add to the atmosphere. Kick back and relax after your run with some mates and enjoy the vibes as you watch others cross that finish line.

Other:

Our events donate to a few charities, Legacy and Commando Welfare who both support those that have served in the Australian Military.
Minimum age for our half course is 12+ and minimum age for our full course is 16+.
New in 2019 is a KIDS COURSE, open to ages 4-12.
We have a bag drop available for a gold coin donation and communal shower + specified change areas available for post race.

Team:

Anyone is welcome to race as a team, simply create a team at registration and ensure everyone signs up to the same team. If you have any issues, simply contact us via email at support@truegrit.com.au to help you out. If you have a large team of over 40 people, contact us via Facebook to see if we can organise a discount for you! If you create a team, try and get a group colour or tshirt or costume going on!
