Course Description:
This unique, family-friendly, fun event isn't your “normal” 5K. Participants have to maneuver over, under or through various obstacles that will be placed along the course, including all that naturally placed goose poop!
Awards:
There will be no age group awards this year but there will be cash awards given to the top overall 5K male and female winners and the Masters (40+) male and female. Again, all participants will be timed individually.
Prizes:
Awards will be issued the day of the event for a few different reasons. So make sure you come happy and make your team stand out!
Post Party:
Post-race feast where lunch will be served.

Team:
All runners will compete individually this year (no teams of two like
in 2011) but who says running has to be a solo sport? Bring a whole
team and you will have a chance for great prizes in the Goose Poop Flock
Challenge. Regardless of your levels of athleticism – weekend warriors
or hard core marathoners – the key for this challenge is FUN! Take the
Goose Poop Flock Challenge and help shape up our community by committing
to a great cause, while having fun at the same time! So, sign up as an
individual or as a "flock", whatever flys for you! :) All runners will
be timed individually.
GOOSE POOP FLOCK CHALLENGE: A large trophy will be
awarded to the flock (a.k.a. team) that registers the most paying
participants (nothing to do with race time). The team will be presented
the trophy during the awards ceremony following the 5K. This is meant
to be a fun challenge so try and encourage your friends, family,
co-workers to get out and run in your "flock".
FLOCK PARTICIPATION AWARDS: Any team with more than
10 paying participants (does not include kids challenge) will receive a
commemorative plaque after the race!
