Medieval Mud Medieval Mud is a trio of events coming to the Stafford, VA area. Medieval Mud Run is a 5k+ obstacle race, the Squire Scramble is a youth 1/2 mile and 1 mile obstacle race, and the Medieval Mud Fest is for everyone, runners and non-runners alike. This event, held May 03, 2014 will have period role-players for the Medieval and Renaissance periods throughout the course and at the festival areas, there will be vendors selling Medieval and Renaissance food, clothing, and gear, there will be live bands, and, of course, there will be mead,wine, and ale. Unleash your inner ieval.

Course Description:

This is a moderate level race packed with intermediate level obstacles

Aid Stations:

Aid, water, and concessions will be available at the start and finish of the race and aid workers will be present throughout the runs.

Awards:

Negotiations are in the works to provide awards for the top finishers in the male, female and youth categories. Stay tuned to the website for evolving details.

Prizes:

Negotiations are in the works to provide prizes for the most themed runners. Stay tuned to the website for evolving details.

Spectators:

There will be a spectator fee which will cover entry to the Medieval Mud Festival filled with live bands, award ceremonies, viewing of the race, and entry to the merchants, food, and alcohol gardens.

Post Party:

The Medieval Mud Fest is a one day festival celebrating the history and lore of the Medieval and Renaissance periods. Live role-players will be throughout the area, live bands will play the amphitheater, merchants will sell period goods, food, mead, ale and wine will be available for purchase. There will also be events in which to participate if/when you are not currently running the race.

Other:

A portion of all proceeds will go to the American Red Cross and our nation's Wounded Warriors.

Team:

While teamwork will help you through the obstacles and will not be discouraged, the races will be run for individual glory.
