Course Description:
6+ Miles and 20+ Obstacles – But how is Nasty different? Here’s our answer. You have roughly 10 Special Operations dudes building an obstacle course at a party that’s authentic and timeless. The culture and the course. Hence $1 Beers, hence free camping, hence smiles. You are what you do in this world, and Nasty is our way to get some good PT (Physical Training) in, throw a huge party, invite everyone we know, and have a good time. But yeah once you go big it’s the unpardonable sin like when Metallica cut their hair. Got it. We’ve been playing small gigs like The Challenge for years, and we’ll continue to play small gigs every weekend of the year around the world. But sometimes more is better, bigger is better. Our Field of Dreams, our Woodstock aka GORUCK Nasty will have plenty of real deal obstacles. If you can’t do them alone, someone will give you a hand. That someone may be a buddy you came with, it may be Lou or Garrett or Devin or me. And since we don’t know any other way, Nasty will also be the party of the year. So come one come all if that’s your thing and we’ll see ya in Virginia on September 21 for Nasty 001.
Aid Stations:
There will be plenty of food and beer.
Spectators:
Come hang. Spectator tickets are $10, and all money goes to the Green Beret Foundation. And we think you should probably buy someone a $1 Beer or ten.
Parking:
Camping is offered near the course and the Cadre will be there, too. It’s free, but you do need to register so we can plan accordingly. When you register as a participant or spectator, there will be an option to reserve your camping spot.
There are 1,200 parking spots on site. If you come with 3 people (driver included), it’s free. If fewer, it’ll cost you a $10 bill that we will donate directly to the Green Beret Foundation. Either way, everyone wins.
Post Party:
This entire event is a party. Party of the year to be specific.
Other:
$20 of every ticket and proceeds from ALL food and beer goes to the Green Beret Foundation.
Team:
If you’re gonna carpool with your buddies, you might as well run (or ruck) Nasty with them, too. Team registration means there are at least 4 of you and you’ll each receive 5% off your Nasty registration.
However, you do not get to finalize your start wave when you register. You select a preferred start wave and we’ll do our best to accommodate. The reason why we do it this way is because teammates usually sign up at different times. If a wave sells out in the interim, we can’t add more people to a closed wave, that kind of thing.
We will send you and your teammates a confirmation email with your start wave one week prior to your Nasty. Thanks for your flexibility.
