Gates open at 6:30am. Black-Ops Elite race starts at 7:30am. Commando Elite race starts at 8:30am. Rookie Elite race starts at 8:50am.

Warrior Race Welcome to the new generation of obstacle course racing in South Africa!

The Warrior Race promises to be an absolutely exhilarating experience no matter what your level of experience or fitness is. Whether you are here with your family and racing with the kids, or competing for a spot in the Open Championships, there is a race category that has been tailor-made to test your endurance, fitness and mental strength.

There is no doubt, this race has been designed to get you off the couch and into the mud, challenging your mind body and soul.

You will be wet, dirty, laughing and crying, but all in all, you will have a blast and afterwards, enjoying your victory with friends and family at the festival.

We promise to make you earn your Warrior Status the Warrior way, but you will have to BE BRAVE.

In 2013 The Warrior Race Series will consist of 8 events in 4 provinces across South Africa.

Course Description:

Rookie is the race for anyone and everyone. If this is your first time doing a Warrior Race – Rookie is for you. The Rookie obstacles are challenging enough for the relatively fit and strong to attempt all of them; but not too hard to scare away the newbies. The Rookie race provides the perfect environment for team building amongst corporates, families and friends. And if you’re stressing about not being able to do an obstacle – don’t worry! Just drop down and give us 20 burpees and you can be on your way!
Commando is for those who feel Rookie is just too easy, and that Black-Ops is still a bit of a stretch. Over and above the Rookie obstacles that you will have to complete; we’ve thrown in some obstacles that will test your physical strength and take you right out of that comfort zone. The Commando race will really challenge you, but won’t break you like Black-Ops.
Black-Ops is for the really brave out there and is a serious challenge – even for the very fit! This race is designed to push you to your limits, test your physical and mental resolve, and show you what you are made of. No excuses, no mercy, no giving up!

Aid Stations:

Warrior Rookie: 2 USN water points
Warrior Commando: 3 USN water points
Warrior Black-Ops: 5 USN water points

Spectators:

Spectator fee is R30 for all participants aged 7 years and older.

Post Party:

Beer garden with music and entertainment. Great variety of food and drink stands to cater for all tastes.

Other:

There will be security guards in and around the race village and parking area for general security and safety. Please note that we will NOT be responsible for the security of any personal belongings and items. It will be your own responsibility to look after your personal items or alternatively book it in at our secure locker zone (see above). Also please make sure that you don’t leave any valuables on the seats of your car or at any other clearly visible place in your car. Please hide it away in the boot or under the seats just to make sure you don’t tempt any potential “thieves”.
