Doomsday Dash obstacle races, mud run, and OCR information, distance, cost, dates, calendar, discounts, obstacles, reviews, and more

The end of days are here for Extreme Runners in Ontario Canada. Trudeau Park in Tweed will play host to the Doomsday Dash 2014 this coming long May Weekend (16-19). What makes this event different than the other Apocalypse styled event for the hard core athlete and weekend warrior? Its a full weekend complete with camping on site and there's so much more!

Pick whatever end of the world scenario you like but the action will be in Tweed. On arrival the athelete's will be immediately quarantined for there own good in our massive ‘Quarantine Zone'. It features great music by Radiola and Rodeo Zombie blasting over the Coors Light beer garden, volleyball courts, tug of war competitions, Rock Climbing walls and a sea of vendors and products.

Race heats will be run all day long among the Post Apocalyptic obstacles unique to the doomsday dash. The course itself is top secret for now as in its length but details will be breaking soon right here! Those who survive the run itself will be welcome to use all the services Trudeau Park is known for at an event of this size. Stay in the tent city or book a room at the resort.

The evenings will be filled with great live music and concerts on our massive stage with bands to be announced soon! Kick back and enjoy a drink while we entertain or get a post race massage from the Ontario Sports Massage Therapy Team. The team will be out in full force providing both taping for safety and helping the race survivors relax afterward. In the morning treat yourself to breakfast! Its all here.

The Doomsday Dash is now in the process of creating many new partnerships to make this event the best of its kind. So come on out be you spectator, participant or survivor of the end times this coming May long Weekend!

Need to get in the mood? Radiola has created a Doomsday Dash Channel just to get you in the mood for this event. Give it a listen and get ready for the meltdown!

A bit disappointing

May 18, 2014 by GrittyKitty

Nice location. Parking $10.00. Food was fair -the BBQ had limited choices and the turkey was undercooked. Only one vendor on-site and the items were not sports related! Good music. Nice campground. Trails were poorly marked. Obstacles were for beginning racers excluding the final slide. Medals are AWESOME. No change facilities or showers available on-site that we could see. More walking/jogging than obstacles along this fairly flat/field route. Needed more volunteers to direct near main lodge. Registration was quick and easy. T-shirt was basic cotton and race not timed. Good for beginner's to get their feet wet but not one we would repeat.
