I think that for a beginner this was a decent run.. I did feel that it was dumbed down a little though. it definitely left me wanting more. I may not be able to do a Spartan just yet - but give me a little more.. at least more mud! No mud. Except for one instance where we stepped in mud - that's it. It was a good time, and I thought the staff throughout the obstacles were great but I wouldn't do it again.
Poorly Executed
Good Templar Park is an amazing venue. What a shame this "mud" run didn't live up to its name. No mud. None. Poorly executed, staff was not helpful. Poorly marked course. Not chipped. Kids ran with Adults. Really? Great cause, bad race. Hero's Mud Run at Marmion is a true mud run. This was a morning of running in the grass. Would not enter again. AMAZING park though.
I know this park really well. It has many hills and LOTS of mud, plus creeks, this should be a fun race! Not to mention races for the kids! See you August 9th.
