Good race, could be better
Good location, great obstacles but room for improvement. I chose the 20k distance and when I arrived I realised there would be no race numbers and no time keeping. I wasn’t too worried by this as i had someone with me to keep time. Found out shortly before the race started that this would be a 2 lap run, this was not mentioned at all within the pre race information! Completed my first lap and soon realised that large groups of runners from the 10k start were now bunched at each obstacle which meant I could either stop and wait or go round the obstacle! Though this was frustrating I still enjoyed the course and the marshalls were very helpful. I completed the 20k and was a little disappointed to find that the medals were exactly the same for all distances and there were no drinks or refreshments put on for the runners. After purchasing a drink I spoke to an organiser to suggest it would be a good idea to have at least water at the finish line I was told that if water was free they would provide it at the finish line! £47 for entry and £5 parking, I don’t think a cup of water at the finish line is asking too much.
Overall good race, if they ironed out a few minor problems it would be excellent.
