Course Description:
Participants wind through rugged forest country and a vineyard. There are several creek crossings and daring suspension bridges. You will sprint across balance beams, scale climbing walls, navigate up and down steep bluffs and run up and over the Magic Bus! And don't forget our infamous 100 foot water slide! 5k The Hard Way will test your strength, agility, stamina and mind.
5K The Hard Way combines insane obstacles with some of the most rugged, hidden terrain in Nebraska! From first-time mud runners and joggers to hardcore ninja warriors and marathon runners, this obstacle course will challenge everyone.
This race is local and hardcore but it’s also a lot of fun. If you start to fade, you can stop at the Jungle Lounge (situated about halfway through the course) and enjoy a free beverage (including beer and Jungle Juice).
Aid Stations:
Paramedics on site, water stations along the route and there is free fruit and water at the finish line.
Prizes:
The first wave is our competitive wave, and the first 5 male & female finishers will receive special medals.
Awards for Best Male, Best Female and Best Team costumes
Spectators:
There is never a charge for spectators

Post Party:
Runners and spectators will be treated to a rocking after-party with a live DJ, beer garden, food and lots of sweet giveaways
Other:
If you registered for the 2020 event your registration(s) will be automatically transferred to June 26th, 2021. No action is required on your part and you will continue to receive updated emails in the months leading up to the mud run. You can also facilitate no-cost transfers to a different runner, friend or family member.
