First heat is at 10:00am and two more each 30 minutes. Limited to 100 per wave. Additional waves will be added as needed.

Course Description:

This is a 5 mile trek with 25+ different obstacles. Local terrain is flat however, there will be dips and hills throughout the course. Hills range from 7-60 feet tall. Course is challenging, but no obstacles are mandatory and you go at your own pace.
1). River Crossing- Small creek about 2 feet deep and 4 feet wide. Crossing from one side to the other
2). Monkey Bars- Participants will grip the monkey bars that are 8 feet off the ground across a pond that is 24’ long and 4’deep,
3). Tire Mound- Car tires piled and jumbled together in the path. Participants are to climb through them. Pile will be knee high.
4). Bin Jump- Jumping in and out of 3 consecutive grape bins full of water.
Water Station #1
5). River Run-Participants will run on a 40-degree slope that goes down to a river.
6). Mounds- Participants will run through a series of mulch hills at the city department.
7). Victory Hill- Participants will run up a 50’ Hill and back down.
8). Tunnel Crawl- Participants will crawl through an 8’-10’ long corrugated plastic pipe.
9). Mounds- Participants will run through a series of mulch hills at the city department.
Water Station #2
10). Ice Plunge- Participants will jump into a lined dumpster, filled with water and ice. They will duck under a series of tire in the middle to make their way to the other side and out.
11). 12’ Rope wall- Participants will climb up and over a 12 foot rope wall.
12). Trenches- Participants will crawl through a 12’ long mud trench.
13). Mud and mounds- Participants will jump in and out of mud pits.
14). Sand Bag Carry- Participants will carry a 50lb bag of sand up and down 200’ grape rows 6 times. They will then place the bag of sand back where they got it.
15). Hay Climb- Participants will climb stacked round bales of hay to a height of 15-20 ‘.
16). Tire Mound- Car tires piled and jumbled together in the path. Participants are to climb through them. Pile will be knee high.
17). Log Carry- Participants will carry a log over a 8’ dirt pile, down a 100’ grape row, back, and drop back off around the hill. Log sizes will vary in size from small to large, depending on participant’s preference.
Water Station #3
18). Pallet Climb- Participants will climb up a series of stacked pallets.
19). Over/Unders- Participants will climb over and crawl under a series of mounted car tires.
20). Net Crawl- Participants will crawl under a bird net in the mud for 12’.
21). Tire Wall- Participants will climb a 10’ wall made from car tires bolted together. They will climb down a wooden ladder frame on the other side.
22). 9’ Vertical Wall- Participants will climb up a 9’ vertical wall and over.
23). Wire Crawl- Participants will crawl perpendicular to a grape vineyard rows.
24). Bin Jumps- Jumping in and out of 3 consecutive grape bins full of water.
25). Wire Crawl- Participants will crawl perpendicular to a grape vineyard rows.
25). Mud Slide- Participants will climb up a rope/ or latter to the side, and make their way to a platform, where they will slide down into a muddy trench.

Aid Stations:

Two aid stations will be onsite. One at the end and one mid way through the race. Paramedic station is down the road and are on standby. Refreshments will be available at the end.

Spectators:

Spectators are FREE. They are able to roam free around a selection of the race.

Parking:

Parking is FREE. Carpooling is recommended. Lot will be at the Avon Lake old Tops parking lot located at the intersection of 83 and Walker Road. There is a FREE shuttle that takes participants to the beginning of the race.

Post Party:

There will be a DJ, Food trucks, healthy lifestyle vendors, Inflatable obstacle course for kids and adults, fitness challenges, beer/wine, and more.

Other:

This year is benefiting the American Lung Association.
Minimum Age is 14 with parental consent.
There are no special kids races.
Event is not timed.
Being able to swim is preferred, for there are obstacles with water. Life guards will be onsite. No obstacle is mandatory, however a replacement workout challenge will be required instead.
Volunteers Receive a FREE t shirt, breakfast, and lunch.
There is a FREE baggage hold that transports it to the end of the race for your convenience.
FREE showers onsite.
There are no changing areas.

Team:

There is no way to sign up as a team. Just sign up and come as a team. Team discount not available.
