I've been apart of charity events in my day, but this one takes the cake. when the love for health and fitness meets charity, and giving to those in need.. WOW it creates a feeling that's unmatched to anything else. Dylan did a great job putting on the event this year. The obstacles were intense! My favorite was the Flying Durchman. A lot of people loved that one. Swinging across a giant mud pit onto a giant cargo net is too fun not to do it multiple times! The trenches were a killer!! Can't wait til next year!!!
Mud trench was aweeeesomeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! My watch said it was .8 miles long! They had balance beams and tube crawls incorporated into it. The rope swing was hard, but very cool! Wish there was beer at the end instead of wine, but I guess the wine is stronger! lol. Overall great race!
I have ran races all over Ohio and this is one of my favorites! I lost count of how many obstacles half way through. They defiantly stepped up their game since last year. T shirts were badass. My friend didn't get one after the race, but I heard people took them that were not signed up for a T Shirt. The race owner dropped his own money to buy everyone that got left without one a t shirt! Now that's customer service! They could of had more volunteers, but the ones that were there where very friendly. My favorite part of the race was the really long mud trench. Huff and Puffs Mud trench tops any other race I have ever been to hands down. I like how their trenches and pits were clean mud. Sounds strange, but there's a different between clean mud and stinky mud. This race was challenging, but doable. Family friendly, and its at a winery;) ! Can't wait for next year!
This event was soo fun!! I cant believe how much it grew in one year. The obstacles were challenging. They found a unique way to design obstacles, especially for the flat land terrain. They had some of the obstacles that you find in the bigger races like tough mudder. Great price and a lot of discount offers. They don't charge you left and right for everything.I heard that the people who put on this event do it to give back and are true to the "nonprofit" label. 100% nonprofit that is. Their logo is really clever and they had sweet medals. I can't wait to see what they have in store for this year!!!!
