Course Description:

The Tuck Fest Adventure and Obstacle competition features 3 types of races, the Youth Obstacle Race taking place at the Obstacle Challenge course, Family Obstacle Race and the Night Obstacle Race which take place at the Ridge Pavilion.
YOUTH OBSTACLE RACE Features 10 varied challenge elements. The Youth Obstacle Race puts kids’ strength, coordination and speed to the test. Qualifying rounds will last one hour on Friday and Saturday. A max of 25 participants per qualifying round.
Kids will be able to attempt the course one time per qualifying heat in hopes of making it through to the final round on Sunday. Each participant’s best time will be recorded. A list of finalists will be posted on the events page. Active parental support is encouraged. The Youth Obstacle Race is for children 5-9 years of age who have registered for Tuck Fest races/competitions.
NIGHT OBSTACLE RACE is a scavenger hunt style race that tests your mind and body as the sun goes down on the first night of Tuck Fest. Teams will be given a map and punch card at the start of the race and will be challenged to find and complete as many obstacles as possible throughout the facility.
Teams must start together, complete each obstacle together, and finish together. A good strategy will be necessary as obstacles can be completed in any order within the two and a half hour time frame (projected sunset is 8:05 pm). The most obstacles completed with corresponding punches wins. In the event of a tie, time taken to complete the obstacles will serve as tie breaker.
A headlamp or an illumination device is required. Teams must be comprised of two to five members. All travel must be on foot, and bushwhacking is not allowed. Singletrack trail must be traveled in the designated trail direction; roads/service roads may be traveled in either direction.
FAMILY OBSTACLE RACE is Designed for adults and kids alike, this scavenger hunt style race challenges families to work together mentally and physically while searching for, and completing, various obstacles throughout the USNWC facility.
Teams must start together, complete each obstacle together, and finish together. Course maps and punch cards will be provided to each team at the start of the race. Planning is vital as obstacles can be completed in any order within the one and a half hour time frame.
