Course Description:

Course is 2 miles in length and has 18 obstacles.

1. Rah- Rah Raisin Roll- Practice your balance as you cross a log suspended in the air!
2. Juliette Gordon Get Low- Army crawl your way through a tunnel that gets you low to the ground and covered in mud!
3. Elevator Operator- Climb over and then under in this element made from logs!
4. Cookie Crawl- Get back in the mud and crawl your way through a dark tunnel!
5. Tajar Tumble- Keep your balance on this downhill decent!
6. Creek Stomp- Carefully cross the creek that can come up to your waist!
7. Mad Mud Mountain (New this Year)- Climb your way up a steep incline using a cargo net!
8. Tagalong Tunnel- Climb up and slide down this high speed slide that ends in a mud pit!
9. Thin Mint Shimmy- Test your grip by tackling this set of monkey bars!
10. Trailblazer- Utilize course guides to find your way through the thick of the forest!
11. Savannah Swamp- Cross the mud pit below by making your way through a rope course suspended in the air!
12. Dulce De Stumble- Watch your step, ropes will try to trip you up in this obstacle!
13. Rigabamboo- Get in the pond and pull yourself across using a rope and an inner tube!
14. Toffee Tastic Trek- climb over a mound made entirely of tires!
15. Samoa Slide- Time to get covered in foam as you slide down this incline!
16. Thank you Berry Muck- Get covered in mud as you try to shimmy under this obstacle!
17. Bouncin' Barges- Push your balancing skills to the test as you cross the pond on unstable barrels!
18. Potlatch Peak- finish the course by going through this see-saw style obstacle!

Aid Stations:

First Aid: At least 5 first aid certified adult volunteers will be stationed along the course and at the finish line.
Lifeguards: 2 Lifeguard certified adult volunteers will be stationed along pond elements.
Course Guides: Course guide volunteers will be stationed at most elements throughout the course. Please go to course guides if you have any questions or concerns while on the course.
Refreshments: There will be three water stations for participants throughout the course and again at the finish line. There will also be a small snack at the end of the course to help replenish energy!

Spectators:

Public Viewing Points: Adults and children are NOT permitted on the course unless they have paid to participate. There are designated public viewing points on the course and at the finish line that can be utilized by those who are not participating free of charge.

Parking:

Please follow all signs and markers when parking. There will be GSOH staff and volunteers assisting with parking. Please follow their direction when arriving to and leaving from Camp Crooked Lane. Carpooling is strongly encouraged because parking is extremely limited at Camp Crooked Lane.

Other:

Skipping Elements: Each course element can and should be assessed by each individual completing the course. If you feel unable or unwilling to complete an element, go around it.
Dress Guidelines:
Footwear: Dress for the weather and be prepared to get muddy and wet! Closed toe shoes that can be tightly secured on your feet are required. Most participants wear an old pair of sneakers. Rubber rain boots are NOT permitted because they get stuck in the mud. Crocs and flip flops are also NOT permitted.
Change of Clothes: Bring a full change of clothes including shoes & underwear to change into after completing the course.
Soiled Clothes: Please bring a plastic bag for your soiled clothes. You will be able to rinse off in the pond at the finish line, which works great for getting the big chunks of mud off and cleaning your shoes.
Hair: Long hair should be securely tied back.
Electronic devices: Do not bring any type of electronic device on the course. Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland is not responsible for any lost or damaged items.
Jewelry: Do not wear any loose jewelry that can get caught easily in the mud or on a course obstacle. Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland is not responsible for any lost or damaged items.
Towels: Please bring plenty of towels as they will not be provided.
Changing Tent: All buildings on Camp Crooked Lane property are off limits for the duration of the event. A changing tent will be provided outside for participant use.
Pets: Pets are not permitted on Camp Crooked Lane property.
Photo Stations: There are four photo stations near the start and finish lines of the course.
Photo Release: Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland will be taking promotional photos at the program. If you wish to opt out, please visit the registration table during your check in to sign an opt-out form. To identify as opting out of the photo release, you will receive two wrist bands (One for each arm).
Please contact Girl Scouts of Ohio's Heartland to request a refund. GSOH Program Cancellation Policy – To cancel your program registration and receive a 100% refund:  A written request must be received by Council Headquarters a minimum of six weeks before the start date of the program.
