Race Start Time:

8:00- Compound party and activities start in venue area.
8:30- First wave of runners start: every 30-minute

Runners: wave start at 8:30am and every 30 minutes
Zombies: shift time 7:30-10:00, 8:30-11:00
Zombies will get prepared in make-up tent for 1 hour and stay on the course for 1.5 hours.

Zombie Rush Zombie Rush is a full immersion 5k and 10k mud obstacle challenge and zombie chase. We have gone the extra mile for your enjoyment. When we say full immersion that means from the time you enter the compound you will feel like you’re on the movie set of a zombie movie. Actually you will be. We just happen to be filming parts for our national ad campaign that day and you may find yourself in it. The chase starts from the compound area, which is protected from the zombie infested quarantine zone. Your objective is to traverse through the many obstacles, which will be challenging and fun, but won’t be insanely difficult. The zombies will be in chase zones and this is where you will have to sprint, dodge, jump, roll or do your best zombies juke! You will have health flags that the zombies really, really, really want! (Zombies are only allowed to grab flags, no purposeful physical contact allowed). The quarantine zone will be full of special effects and props to keep you entertained on your journey through the wasteland. Oh and… LOTS OF ZOMBIES!

What is The Compound?

This is your safe haven from the zombies, where the fun starts and continues after your chase experience ends. The compound will be surrounded with chain link fence to keep out the undead. There will be lots to do and see in the compound. Bring your camera because there will be a lot of cool things to take pictures of. There will be great foods and beverages to keep quench your thirst and hunger after the chase. Music all day from DJs to cover bands. The following is a list of some of the events that will be going on throughout the day.

Zombie invasion: There may be a breach in the fence by incoming zombies at anytime during the day. Not to worry, our zombie response team will handle it. You really want to have your cameras out for this one. Note: all spectators will be ushered behind a safe line. This is a live performance that involves large moving vehicles, special effects smoke and live actors.

Course Description:

The course will be hilly 5K filled with Zombie infested zones and apocalyptic props.

Aid Stations:

We will have 2 revive stations and paramedics will be on standby.

Spectators:

Spectators are free to join this event. Enjoy to watch the start and goal area zombie chase and the Post Apocalypse Party.

Parking:

A $10 per car fee will be collected at the gate and will be cash only. We recommend car pool.

Other:

Although there is no age limit to participate, 12 years old and under requires his/her guardian to attend with him/her. 18 years old and under requires a signed parent/guardian consent form)
Zombie Rush 5K has partnered with a local charity Kendra’s Kisses. The “Kendra’s Kisses Foundation”was founded by Marc Vermont, a Lieutenant with Hallandale Beach Fire Rescue, in honor of his daughter who died from a cancerous brain tumor in 2007. The primary focus of the foundation is to grant money to assist families that are battling childhood cancers.
